I studied at St. Francis School and at Holy Trinity School between 1965 and 1971. I lived in Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale but I consider myself totally from Sunningdale.

I didn't realize the magnitude of this tiny place of land until I came back in 1992. I saw natural as a school boy to live next to John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Another neighbour, Mrs. Diana Doors always bought me chocolates(she is the lady dressed in green in The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Album), George Harrison always waved to us in his big 600 grey Mercedez Benz, Bianca Jagger and Princes Caroline of Monaco studied at St. Mary's Convent, were I studied for my First Communion, and they sang in the chorus while I was doing my First Communion. Professor Southwood, my father's Supervisor became Vice Chancellor of Oxford University. These were the daily things that happened to me in those days. But is not because of these things that I love Sunningdale, it's because of all of its people, so friendly, so extremely kind and opened doors, so warm. The village is so beautiful, the fields are so green, the smell of the town is so identificable, so unique, it is the smell of peace and tranquility that all of us the people of Sunningdale will always have in our hearts and in our souls, even if we are thousands of miles or years away from our Sunnindale homes.

hi. i have lived in Sunningdale all my life. i have two houses here. mums and dads. i went to Holy Trinity Primary School and went on to Charters, and changed half way through I now attend Wellington College now. Sunningdale is a good place, lots of big houses and and a big central supermarket, Waitrose. good work with the site.

I lived in Sunningdale for nearly 1 year. I was an au-pair at very kind family. I feel Sunningdale is my second home I often think about the place where I was happy and where I found my "second" family. I liked to shopping at Waitrose, go to gym to Charters School and walk around the place. Sunningdale will be remain in my memory for ever and Tommy, Phoebe and Sam as well.

I was in a orphanage run by a Polish Catholic order 1966-1969. It was somewhere off the London Rd near Sunningdale set in spacious grounds in a mansion. Any ideas? I believe it was run by the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception.

I was raised in the Rise at Sunningdale. I went to school in Sunninghill and then Charters from which I graduated in 1976. I moved to the United States, alone, in 1979. I enjoyed reading about the history of Sunningdale it was a beautiful place to grow up and I have many fond memories of the place. I would very much like to see some more recent history of the village, say from the 1930's through the end of the 20th century. Great job on the site, please keep up the good work.

Cool sight for research! I am in a play called "The Revenger's Comedies" and the character that I portray is from Sunningdale so I thought I should see what the place where my character lives looks like. I really like the site and I think maybe there should be more pictures..... or maybe you had pictures but my computer didnt load them correctly... anyways, thanks alot!
