I am looking to seek some information on the former house of the late Diana Dors, for research for a Documentry. I am in contact with Diana's son Jason Lake, we are both aware that the former house Orchard Manor had planning permission to be torn down, and we want to know if this has happened or if it is still standing today. I would appreciate any information about this to help myself and Jason. Warm Wishes Ray Jorden

Does anyone know the location of Lowood (Low Wood or Low-Wood perhaps?) House? My Grandfather owned the property during the last War (Maj D E Dixon, Grenadier Guards) and my father was born there in 1943. I lived in Sunninghill for a year but was never able to locate it - can anyone help? Thanks

Hell all,
Need the knowledge of the two following questions:
1. Is Woodbine Cottage still standing?
2. Does anybody remember a Peggy or Reg shuttleworth?

If my information is correct, some years ago the ladies of Windlesham made a quilt with oak leaves and acorn motifs. It was featured in a magazine at that time and I had the cutting. I should be grateful if one of its makers would send me a picture and the story behind the quilt. I am a quilter myself and thought the block was beautiful even from the tiny cutting I had.

Hi, i am trying to find out if anyone has researched men and women of Virginia Water that were killed in the Second World War? I am researching aircraft crashes in Shropshire and one of the pilots that was killed was F/Lt Roy Harold Phillips (138663), RAFVR, aged 23. He was the Son of Harold Alexander and Marie Ethel Phillips, of Virginia Water, Surrey; husband of Marjorie Eileen Phillips.
I am wondering if anyone can help with any further information on this pilot? Perhaps somebody has researched war time casualties? I would be very grateful for any help. Many thanks, Tom

I went to Heathermount school from 1981-1987. I was known as Terry Newman back then. I'd like anyone who knows Peter Shade who teached music at Heathermount and lived on Fireball Hill to get in touch please. email lohanette@yahoo.com

Discovered your website while researching my father's family; his maternal grandfather was born in Sunningdale.
Perhaps you might add a genealogy chat so folks could make inquiries and others assist them.
Thanks for a lovely website.

I lived in Greystones from 1975-1976. Loved it! Our house had a huge old grass tennis court type backyard. Very neat, little quaint town at that time.
